PgBackMan works with logical backups produced via the pg_dump and pg_dumpall PostgreSQL commands.
PgBackMan will take the output of those commands and store them in a desired location, while also being able to restore them at any later points.
Support is included for manual, scheduled, full or partial backups, working on thousands of PostgreSQL databases, and various backup server configurations.
For each backup, a report is generated, and if problems are encountered, PgBackMan will graciously handle all the errors.
The PgBackMan toolkit is meant for usage from the system's shell and has no graphical visual interface.
It is important to mention that PgBackMan is a logical database backup utility, not a physical backup (PITR) tool.
