- SRT doesn't speed up the HDD data transfer on Win10
- BSOD 0x0A appeared when entering S4 on Win7
- SKL platform cannot enter S4 in Windows 7

- Cannot disable Hybrid hitting function via registry with certain SSHD
- 14.0 beta RSTCLI64.exe tool failed in reporting Raid/drive information
IMPORTANT:
- Before installing this application or requesting technical support from Intel, first contact your system manufacturer. They typically provide software which is specifically configured for your system.
Purpose:
- Installs the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Intel RST) RAID driver version 14.0.0.1143.
- This driver supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10. The driver should be installed after the operating system has been installed. F6 and RAID BIOS configurations need to be performed prior to installation of this driver for proper operation.
- This driver supports NVMe devices.
Notes:
1. Known Issue is defined as a potential RST issue that has been replicated internally by the Rapid Storage Technology team but has not been root caused to be an RST defect.
2. The RAID OROM & UEFI version for this release is 14.0.0.2134, the driver and user interface version is 14.0.0.1143. The Devslp tool is posted under the CLI tool components on VIP kit.
3. RST 14.0 release enables support for new platforms & features (includes legacy support for platforms and features supported in RST 13.5)
- Skylake mobile U/Y and desktop consumer chipset
- Support for PCIe NVMe storage devices
- Support for up to 3 PCIe storage devices
- Support for RAID0/1/5 volumes with PCIe storage devices
- Support for RTD3 on RAID volumes
- RCRs in RST 14.0 Beta
- Compliance with AHCI 1.3.1 Link Power Management specification (SIPM)
- Devsleep tool
- NVMe1.2 compliance
- NVMe Security Send and Security Receive (no boot support)
- NVMe Autonomous Power State Transitions
4. When RTD3 is enabled in BIOS, unable to create a RAID volume in UI or RST CLI. UI will report an error and volume will not be created. Bug affects Win8.1, BDW & SKL platforms. Unable to reproduce on Win10.
Workaround: Disable RTD3 in BIOS, then create desired RAID configuration in UI and afterwards re-enable RTD3 (or) to create RAID volume directly in BIOS/EFI. Fix will be available in future BIOS releases.
5. CAT error observed during OS install on RVP3 C0 (PCH-LP) with PCIe storage.
Workaround: In RVP BIOS, go to Intel Advanced Menu -> PCH-IO configuration -> PCI Express Configuration -> PCI Express Root Port 5 -> PCIE5 CLKREQ Mapping Override: enabled. CLKREQ Number: [1]
6. No RST support for PCIe storage devices in AHCI mode.
Intel Rapid Storage Technology Release is designed to provide functionality for the following Storage Controllers:
- Intel 9 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- Intel 8 Series/C220 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- Intel 7 Series/C216 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- Intel C600 Series Chipset SATA AHCI Controller
The system must contain one the following processors:
- Intel vPro
- Intel Celeron
- Intel Pentium
- Intel Core i3, i5, or i7
- Intel Xeon processor family
About RST (Rapid Storage Technology):
Once Intel’s Rapid Storage Technology (RST) driver is applied, desktop and notebook systems will be able to manage the available storage (one or more drives) more easily.
And that’s not all you should expect: updating the RST version can also bring about improved storage performance, lower power consumption, faster boot times, quicker data reads, as well as several other changes.
As far as applying this release is concerned, simply make sure your system configuration is compatible with this package, run the available setup, and follow the on-screen instructions for a complete installation. In addition to that, don’t forget to perform a reboot to make sure that all changes take effect properly.
Even though other operating systems might be compatible as well, we do not recommend installing this package on platforms other than the specified ones.
With this in mind, click the download button, and get and apply the present version. Also, check with our website as often as possible in order to stay up to date with latest releases.
