iPod Icon   Introduction to WAFInspec

WAFInspec enables you to browse and export data from WAF (Web Archive Format) files.

A prominent example for a WAF file is the cachefile of Microsoft Internet Explorer on the Macintosh platform, which is used by Internet Explorer to speed up your browsing experience by storing parts of the sites you did access on your local harddisc. In contrast to other tools, WAFInspec is not build to remove (or clean) this cache, but rather to enable you to browse through and extract data from it.

In addition to this, you can read and extract data from webarchives created by Internet Explorers Save As function, also. Which enables you to comfortably download a complete site with all content, and then browse and extract these contents to your local harddisc.

WAFInspec can basically read any file structured following the WAF format.
