Requirements

Installation

  1. If you are using a Pocket PC: connect your Pocket PC to your PC
    1. Install (or upgrade to) MySportTraining 4.5.0 (if applicable).
Optionally, you can make a backup in MySportTraining (via Tools > Backup) prior to upgrade.

    2. Install (or upgrade to) MyPersonalDiet 2.5.0 (if applicable).
Optionally, you can make a backup in MyPersonalDiet (via Tools > Backup) prior to upgrade.

    3. Perform a soft-reset. Do not reconnect your Pocket PC to your PC yet.

  2. If you are using a Palm OS handheld:
    1. Install (or upgrade to) MySportTraining 3.5.0 (if applicable) on your handheld.

    2. Install (or upgrade to) MyPersonalDiet 1.5.0 (if applicable) on your handheld.

  3. Install VidaOne Diet & Fitness
    1. Unzip the file.

    2. Run vcredist_x86.exe. This installs some Microsoft files that may not be present on your computer. This only has to be run once on your computer. If you've run it before, or you are re-installing VidaOne Diet & and Fitness, you do not have to run it.

    3. Run VODF_Setup.msi and follow the instructions on the screen. If you are using a Palm OS handheld, you will be prompted to select if MySportTraining and/or MyPersonalDiet are installed on your handheld (this is required to properly set up the HotSync conduit).

On Windows XP, you must be logged into an account with administrator rights, otherwise installation errors will occur. On Windows Vista, you must either be logged into an account with administrator rights or enter the administrator password when prompted to do so.

If you are using MySportTraining for Windows, the settings and data will be copied and upgraded (the original data remains intact). You may uninstall MySportTraining for Windows once VidaOne Diet & Fitness is successfully installed.

  4. Run VidaOne Diet & Fitness and follow the welcome wizard

If you were using MySportTraining for Windows, your existing profile(s) and data will be immediately available.

  5. If you are using a Pocket PC: re-connect your Pocket PC to your PC

ActiveSync (XP) and Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista) will automatically synchronize the diet and fitness data with your device (this may take a few minutes). You should see your diet and fitness data on both your Pocket PC and PC. If the data does not appear to synchronize:

    1. Soft-reset your Pocket PC and restart your PC.

    2. Edit your partnership settings (in ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center) and select the following entries, if they are not already shown:
      • Extras
      • Health
      • Meals (this option can be selected only if MyPersonalDiet is installed on your Pocket PC)
      • Workouts

    3. Re-synchronize (this may take a few minutes). With ActiveSync, when the "Combine or Replace" window is shown, choose to "Combine the items on my device with the items on this computer". You may be prompted more than once (which is normal).

  6. If you are using a Palm OS handheld

Perform a HotSync operation to synchronize the data.
