The Rules of Reversi
Basics
- One player is black and other other white.
- Players take it in turn to move. Black always moves first.
- The aim of the game is to finish with more discs than your opponent.
Moves
- Moves are made to unoccupied squares.
- Each move must flip at least one of your opponent's discs.
- Discs can be flipped horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.
- When you make a move, any of your opponent's discs in a continuous line between your new disc and another of your discs are flipped.
Forfeiting
- A player who can't move forfeits their turn, and the other player moves again.
Winning
- When neither player can move the game is over.
- The player with the most discs wins. If the players have an equal number of discs the game is a draw.
