The Creative MovieFX extension can be installed using the Adobe Extension Manager, a tool which is installed automatically when installing Adobe Flash. If you cannot find this tool on your computer, use the following links to download it: Download the Windows version and Download the Macintosh version.
The next step is to unzip the package and follow the steps in the “How to install an extension” tutorial.
After you installed the component, open Flash and create a new Flash file (ActionScript 3.0); the component can be found in the Extend Components section of the Components panel. The Components panel can be accessed either by pressing CTRL+F7, either by following the path “Window>Components” in the top menu.
Prior to registering the component, you’ll need two things: the first is to download and install the component and the second is to buy a license from our website.
After you have fulfilled the requirements above, open Flash and create a new Flash file (ActionScript 3.0); drag an instance of Creative MovieFX from the Components panel on the stage.
Add the component on the stage
With the Creative MovieFX instance selected, open the component’s configuration interface by accessing “Window>Other Panel>MovieFX Panel” in the top menu.
Component configuration interface
As the component’s configuration interface opens, you will be prompted to register the component; insert the license number in the corresponding text field, and click Register.
After purchasing a component license, you will automatically receive an email from Extend Studio, containing both the license key and the link to download the product package.
At a later time, if you will need any of the two, visit www.extendstudio.com, the “Account>My Products” section.
- Cause: the issue appears when the serial you entered is invalid, when our server cannot find a valid product for the inserted serial or when the serial is incorrect.
- Solution: please visit www.extendstudio.com, the “Account>My Products” section, and check that the serial you are using is correct and corresponds to the product you are trying to register.
- Cause: the issue appears for multiple-user licenses, when the inserted registration code is invalid.
- Solution: contact the license administrator - the person who purchased the license from our website - in order for him to reset the license; the procedure for resetting the license is described below:
- Go to www.extendstudio.com and login to your Extend account.
- In the top menu, go to the “Account>My Products” section.
- Click on the Reset corresponding button.
- Install/Reinstall the component, register and enjoy!
- Cause: the issue appears when the serial you are trying to use to register a product is already in use.
- Solution: for a single-user license, the procedure is to reset the license by following the steps above and then register the product on the new work station; for a multiple-user license, use a registration code, or if you don't have any, follow the indications given for the errors 503, 664.
- Note: in the case of the single-user license, since it's a one use/device license the product will not work anymore on the initial work station after you transfer the license.
The Component can be configured from its interface which can be opened by accessing “Window>Other Panel>MovieFX Panel” in the top menu.
At the moment, the license type that we offer is the single-user license, with an unlimited time duration; although this type of license doesn't allow multiple simultaneous use, it can be used on any number of work stations, following a simple procedure which involves reseting the license on a station, and registering it on the new, desired one.
In the near future, there will appear more types of license, both referring to the number of users - multiple-user licenses - or to the time duration - limited time duration licenses.
In order to uninstall the component, you need to follow the following steps:

- From the drop-down list, select Flash CS3 or greater – the software version where you installed the component.
- Disable the component by clicking on its corresponding On/Off checkbox.
- Select the component and click “Remove Extension” (CTRL+R) to permanently uninstall it.
